Purpose

The purpose of this document is to give a description of the company 21grams, including our values and responsibilities towards each other and the world around us, both as a company and as individuals.

Our values and how we want to be perceived

  • Being “easy to deal with”, having a high level of service and being problem solvers
  • To be professional and knowledgeable in our areas of expertise
  • Creating long-term relationships with customers and partners
  • To build a pleasant, healthy, safe and flexible working environment for our staff

Our company

21grams is a company that delivers services that streamline and optimize physical and digital communication for companies. 21grams operates with the aim of helping postage buyers to simplify and reduce their postage costs. In addition to postage, 21grams also work with digital communication, payment solutions and digitization of invoicing processes.

Since 2021, 21grams is a part of the Belgian listed company Unifiedpost Group, which is represented in over thirty countries.

Unifiedpost Group has defined guidelines, supporting key figures and targets that are developed for the whole group. Each of our goals is directly aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This confirms our commitment to the UN Global Compact.

These targets and KPIs (Key Performance Index) are available in our full ESG report on our website: www.unifiedpost.com.

21grams’ responsibility

We conduct our business in a responsible manner. This means that we comply with the laws of the countries where we operate, support basic human rights as well as health, safety and the environment.

We are committed to creating a pleasant and flexible working environment for our employees. In this context, it is our duty to recruit, hire and promote employees solely on the basis of their suitability for the job.

We want to stimulate the individual and professional development of our employees and create a safe and healthy working environment.

It is also our duty to combat any kind of discrimination and harassment. Our employees must be recruited on an equal basis, selected and promoted on the basis of objective and non-discriminatory criteria.

We also want to create transparency about the company’s business internally, including ongoing reporting of business status and results. Openness, integrity and trustworthiness foster participation.

Environment

Our business model is to optimize distribution processes. 21grams optimizes physical distribution, where we advocate deliveries that have a lower environmental impact.

21grams’ business model is also based on helping companies to move from physical to digital distribution where possible, which means a smaller environmental footprint.
21grams always strives to work in an environmentally friendly way. This includes internal processes such as conscious purchasing, waste management and business travel, but even more so, our choice of suppliers for IT operations, premises, paper and printing. We support action on climate change and a low-carbon future.

We will continuously work to minimize the environmental impact on ourselves, our customers and partners.

Quality

21grams’ most important proof of our high quality is our long and close customer relationships and partnerships. 21grams is today the largest player in the optimization of physical distribution and also the largest player in the distribution of e-invoices to online banks.

This has been made possible by the fact that quality has always been a guiding principle in our business and runs throughout our entire business.

  • Quality for our customers means that they can rely on our products and services to meet their specifications and requirements
  • Quality for our colleagues means taking personal responsibility for ensuring that our work meets customer requirements
  • Quality for regulators means that we work to the ethical standards and meet all applicable regulatory requirements. In the Swedish market, we work with postal operators registered with a license issued by PTS (Post and Telecom Authority)
  • Quality for our company means driving a culture of continuous improvement

We also require both environmental policies and quality certifications from our suppliers and partners:

  • For server operation, internet and communication solutions we use suppliers that are ISO 9001 certified
  • We work with printing houses that are ISO 14001 certified

Diversity and equality

Our company represents diversity, tolerance, equal rights and opportunities for all. Diversity is valuable to us. Our employees’ diverse backgrounds foster creativity and help us better understand our customers around the world.

Direct or indirect discrimination must therefore be excluded in all decisions and in all parts of the company. This applies regardless of gender, age, religion, ideology, gender orientation, sexual orientation or disability. Cultural, ethnic or national origin and political and philosophical views must also play no part.

Child labour

We do not tolerate child labour or any other form of forced labour.

Health and safety

We have a duty to all employees to provide a safe and healthy workplace and to continuously develop this work. Each individual employee can also contribute to making the workplace a pleasant and safe environment. We offer:

  • Competence and development plans
  • Hybrid Office
  • Flextime
  • Health insurance
  • Health care allowance
  • Beneficial pension provisions
  • Introduction program for new employees
  • Annual employee survey
  • Regular Security Awareness Training
  • Mandatory GDPR training for all employees
  • Business Continuity Plan

Corruption and bribery

It is our policy to conduct all our activities in an honest and ethical manner. We have a zero tolerance for bribery and corruption and are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate.

Our zero tolerance for bribery and corruption is communicated to all suppliers, contractors and business partners at the outset of our business relationship and as appropriate thereafter. 21grams’ employees are expected to avoid situations where personal or private financial interests may conflict with the interests of the company.

It goes without saying that 21grams’ employees should not take or give bribes or act in an unethical manner. If there is any doubt, management should be consulted. We will take disciplinary action against any employee who violates this policy, which may result in termination for misconduct. We may terminate our relationship with other individuals and organisations working on our behalf if they breach this policy.

Because 21grams maintains the highest standards of transparency, integrity and accountability, we have created an environment that allows our employees and external stakeholders to react on wrongdoing (the whistleblower directive).
All employees complete annual Security Awareness Training.

Employee responsibility

In the course of our business, we handle large amounts of confidential information for our customers (governments, banks and other companies). 21grams recognizes the importance of protecting personal and business information, and is committed to handle all such information confidentially and in accordance with applicable law, the GDPR and our Privacy Policy.

21grams has developed valuable intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrighted works and trade secrets (e.g. confidential technical or business information). Employees are also required to protect these assets.
